CET:
The
College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar was established
by the Government of Orissa in 1981 to meet the growing
technical man power need in the State. It was a constituent college
of the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology,
Bhubaneswar. it has become a constituent college of Biju
Pattnaik University of Technology, Rourkela with effect from
09.07.2002 as per section-37(1) of BPUT Act, 2002. The College
offers under graduate degree courses in Architecture, Civil
Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical
Engineering. Information Technology, Instrumentation and
Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Textile
Engineering, Fashion Technology. A three year Post Graduate course
in Computer Application (MCA) is also offered. In
addition to the above courses M.Tech courses in the discipline
of Computer Science & Information Technology, Structural
Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management and M.Arch
courses are offered.
The College is located in the Techno-campus ( An area of
approximately 100 Acres) at Kalinga Nagar, Bhubaneswar about 1. Km. away from Khandagiri-Udayagiri caves. However the
Department of Architecture and the Boys Hostels are still
located in the OUAT Campus. The ladies Hostel No.1 is situated in
the Poly-technique campus near Raj Bhavan and ladies Hostel
No.2 is located at Jagamara. The College is shifted to the
campus three year back. The central workshop building of the college
is one of the best in the state. A branch of Syndicate
Bank is operating in the college campus. All financial transactions
of the college, the students and staffs are made through
this bank counter. The college buses are running from the hostels
of OUAT campus and from ladies hostels to the Techno Campus
frequently on all working days.
